1. After immigration formalities at Hamad International Airport you will be greeted by numerous Taxi and Limousine Drivers to transport you from the airport to Doha metro. They will charge you from 600-2400 pesos based on your desired destination.

Turn on your cellphone wifi connection, Hamad International Airport has free access to internet.

2.      Convert your money to a forex office at the airport.

3.      Doha’s bus network connects Hamad International Airport to various destinations across the city. All buses depart from Bus Pavilion located just outside the passenger terminal to your right. Please follow the signs as you travel through the Arrivals hall.

4.      Paying your bus fare
Your bus fare can only be paid using a  Karwa Smartcard. If you don’t already have one, then please purchase a disposable Karwa Smartcard from the bus driver.

Karwa Smartcard 24 Unlimited
This card costs QAR 20 (USD 7) and is valid for unlimited trips (across Qatar) in a period of 24 hours from the first time you use it.

6.      Karwa Bus in Qatar Strictly follow their respective routes, you will just have to wait on the designated bus stop. All bus routes will end up in the Central Bus station / Al Ghanim Bus Station, there you can choose the next bus to the desired destination.

How to get a Qatar Tourist Visa

1. Book your flight with Cebu Pacific Air. If you are subscribed to Cebu Pac newsletter you can get a very cheap return ticket from Manila to Doha,Qatar for only 3,000 Pesos.

2. Contact a Friend or a Relative working in Doha, Qatar to purchase for you a Tourist Visa (1 Month) from travel agencies and provide you with a Letter of Guarantee (Stamped by the Philippine Embassy in Doha, Qatar).


Cost:

Tourist Visa - 300-600 Qatari Riyals

Affidavit of Support/Guarantee - 100 Qatari Riyals

3. Visit Qatar Embassy in Manila and have your qatar tourist visa stamped in your passport page.

Cost: 350 Pesos (Embassy only accept debit or credit card payment)
